The John Muir Trail is a 211 Mile route from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous US. The trail travels over high mountain passes and past numerous alpine lakes in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Join Cameron as he talks about his thru hike of the JMT this summer while providing tips and information for anyone interested in hiking it in the future.
Interested in backpacking in Yosemite or elsewhere in the Sierra Nevada? Many of the planning steps and equipment decisions are very similar to the JMT. Join us to see some of the pictures and hear some of the stories from the trail while gaining knowledge about hiking in the Sierra.
